Hotel stories on Enjoy Food & Travel 2006-2012

Another year is soon over, and it is time to look back. Here on Enjoy Food & Travel I can sum up 6 years of food and travel stories and looking on all my maps, I can see that stories are increasingly covering more and more countries. To illustrate this I have marked all hotel stories on this site on this map.

Soon I will cover two more destinations, as Cairo, Egypt and Hamburg, Germany will be visited in the near future. These destinations are intriguing in different ways. The similarities between these two cities are that they are major trade points in their part of the world.
In Cairo I will stay at the Kempinski Nile Hotel. In Hamburg I will stay at Hotel Stella Maris. Both hotels are located by the banks of two major rivers, the mighty Nile and the busy river Elbe.
These two hotels are rated among the best on their destinations by Tripadvisor (in fact Kempinski is voted as Cairo's best), but they could not be more different. The Kempinski is a modern five star luxury hotel, whereas the Stella Maris is much smaller and modest. But the price is, funny enough,  nearly the same for a 36 square meter (350 sq ft) room in Cairo, as for a 14 sq meter (140 sq ft) room in Hamburg. That shows that if you are looking for affordable luxury, go further away from Europe and the US.
So take a trip around the world and read stories on hotels in different destinations by clicking on one of the symbols on the Enjoy Food & Travel hotel map. Here you will find direct links to reviews, photos and on the spot videos as well, showing you whether the hotels deliver quality accommodation or not.
