COMING UP OCTOBER 2011: The Inn at Harvard, Cambridge MA

Coming month I will have my annual trip to New England. This time I will travel with my nephew, and I have decided to treat him to one night in a hotel in Boston. This time we will stay at the Inn at Harvard, by one (or maybe the) most prestigious university in the world.
Harvard University is located in Cambridge MA, a town within the city of Boston, only a 10 minute subway-ride from downtown. When leaving the subway at Harvard Square you find yourself in the middle of one of the most dynamic intellectual communities in the entire the world. The Square is located by the historic Harvard Yard where you find buildings dating back as far as the early 18th century.

Here you will also find a wide range of restaurants and bars. My personal favourite is the John Harvard Brew house, a basement tavern where you may enjoy many varieties of artisan beer, and delicious food.

This time I have booked a room at the Inn at Harvard, a Georgian style hotel located by Harvard Square. Rooms like these do not come cheap. I had to pay close to $ 320 for a double room, but this includes spacious accommodation with two King sized beds providing extra comfort when you share rooms with someone.

The hotel offers guests a gym and classic rooms with flat-screen TVs and additional bath products and bathrobes. You may dine or enjoy afternoon tea in the hotel Atrium and an additional restaurant offers freshly baked treats and seasonal menus.
