Berberana Viña Alarde Tempranillo 2004

Good and inexpensive

This wine is produced by Bodegas Berberana, the second biggest producer in the La Rioja area, and they produce an impressive 15-20 million bottles of wine per year.

This wine is made from 100 % tempranillo, a grape native to Spain and widely grown there and nowhere else. It is an inexpensive wine, less than €10, and good quality for money.

Medium red colour, and it has a well developped fruitiness with strawberries but also a significant spicy character and a hint of leather. This is a wine that can take red meats, stews, poultry and pork dishes.

A good wine for a decent price - recommendable!
